Bottom:  Remember the worst blizzard since 1886? Over 30 inches of snow fell in three days with gale winds. This photo was taken on March 4, 1960 on Otis AFB. There probably were not many photos taken that day (weather wasn’t too nice).  Parkas sure came in handy! I can’t remember who the airmen were in this picture. Sure can’t recognize their faces… I do remember the cccccolddd….

Letter sent to my parents in Holland by 551st Wing Commander Colonel Ernest J. White Jr.  Believe it or not, my mom is still alive and well at age 93 !!  She gave me this letter in summer of 2000.
